Our guest network is open but bandwidth limited with a self-registration captive portal (currently, just email address).
Our network for non-802.1X devices & 802.1X registration is open, but with a captive portal unless the device has been mac registered. We block some internal services (web server & Blackboard) even for registered devices since only 802.1X-capable devices need those services. Off-list answer is fine, if you prefer. I’d like to bounce a few questions off of those doing this, off-list.
