We anticipated requests to disable LEDs in res halls, so we none to point to. With Aruba controller-based APs I don't think it affects support. If the AP is connected to the controller you don't need to rely on LEDs, and if the AP isn't connected to a controller it doesn't have the config that disables the LEDs so the LEDs work.
