Hi John,

Thanks for the input. Yes we are looking at badges currently with an option to
integrate with phones later. They had given us an option of 2.4 or 5Ghz and was
not sure if there was an advantage of one over the other from Vocera
perspective.
They did send us a questionnaire and want to make sure we have the optimal
solution for its success. Glad to hear they are thorough the configuration.

Hey Michael -

I did this many years ago and have helped tune these for hospitals recently.

I am assuming you are talking about badges and not just the smartphone
integration.

You do need a very robust WiFi coverage to support Vocera - 5Ghz is the way to
go.

The real tuning is done at the badge configuration - Vocera allows you to tune
the roaming characteristics of the badges so that they only scan for the
channels you are using.

Vocera is really good about helping you tune - in fact they are pretty
demanding and won't take your word for it - they want to verify or run the
configs they know work.

had deployed the same and what challenges or tips they might have had.

I am also interested on choice of 2.4Ghz vs 5Ghx. What tuning opportunity are
available from the controller and call manager for smooth operations of vocera.

Thanks
