You have many options. 1. get a better PCMCIA card, high power, high sentivity ones like Cisco 352 2. add antennas (cheapest sets go for $40-$50 for 8dbi antenna+pigtail) 3. improve placement (WAP11 next to window) 4. make wireless bridge with 2 extra WAP11s or one more expensive or OpenAP .
