hey, A couple of friends and I are setting up wireless access for treasure island/ yerba buena island, and we were having some difficulties. Although we get signal, it is intermittent - we get bursts of signal, in which any client on the network configures itself via DHCP, and then drops connection after 3-4 secs... The bursts itself are bursty - ie: there is no pattern to when the bursts happen or how long they last..
Anyways, I was hoping that someone with a hell of a lot more experience than us in 802.11b could come by and assess the network we have in place, see if everything is configured correctly, and put together - if possible - a small proviso on what we did incorrectly, and what we did to fix it. I just might add that we may be doing something incredibly stupid, and it might be very simple to fix... Part of me hates to do this (ie: considers it the last resort) but another large part of me just wants to get the damn network working. We've already spent enough time/money on this damn $#$%^$ wireless #$%#, and it would be nice to see things start to come together.. Send me an email if you're interested in coming out and taking a look at it.. (the setup). And thanks much in advance..
