Okay I stand corrected.. 5.3 and not 5.8... I'm looking at setting up a Nocat with both 2.4 and 5.3 cards..
I have orinoco gold and thinking about smc 5.3. does the software work in the same pc that has the pcmcia cards? or does it communicate to Access Point..? basically here is the possible layout, pc 128 ram, 1gighz, 9 gighd, 6 slots filled with pcmci card slot holders 4: 2.4 orinoco 2: 5.3 SMC the smc are for the point to point link up on the high location, bascially sending the traffic up and down. its about 3 miles from my location, and about another 5 miles to the 2.4 are for channels 1 and 11 broadcast vertical and horizonal in pairs for best saturation. I have 2 180 and plan to overlap the signal area about 30 % vertically and the use the 2 90's horizonally over the same location.. The reason for the overlapp is I want to get heavy saturation and high bandwidth. I want the nocat to handle the catch and release of customers, but I dont know of anyone doing or using this software in my area of lancaster/palmdale... who uses this software in a major config like I wanting ?
