Of course it's inexpensive, that's why so many people like it. And its multiple modes make it interesting, too. Cisco and ORiNOCO have their own quirks, too. With a lower-priced product, I think there's also a greater probability that the users don't know what they're doing, so if they can get it to work at all, they're probably already pushing the limits of a 30 mW radio.
