A number of people have sent me requests about this problem so I thought I'd post a

Arthur,

For what it's worth, I just got off the phone with Dell tech support, and
they had me install r42755.exe from their files. You can search for it at
the support page. It solved the problem for me.

Saw your message on "BAWUG", but don't know how to post a reply.

I had the same problem, after a bit of research on the net, the solution is
on the Dell website, see
http://support.dell.com/us/en/kb/document.asp?DN=1038805

There is a hotfix on the driver CD that comes with the 1150 card, it is
applicable only for Win2000. After the fix, it worked just fine. If you need
the files, I could possible upload it somewhere for you to download, let me
know.
