I apologize in advance for the newbie question, but I'm hoping for some
guidance on antenna selection. I'd like to establish a public access
point for my neighbors and am trying to determine what antenna will
perform the best in my situation. I've done a bit of research on the
site, poked at the archives and have looked at Hyperlink, Superpass,
etc. for info but don't feel like I have enough info to invest a few
hundred bucks in an antenna setup.

I'm currently using an AP-2000 with the ORiNOCO "range extender," and
that has difficulty reaching the edge of my property. I live in between
the middle and 3/4 of the way from my neighbors -- 80% of my neighbors
are covered in 180 degrees, 20% in the remaining 180 degrees -- the
distance that has to be covered is 250-400FT. Unfortunately line of
sight is nearly completely obstructed by trees and other foliage, but no
other buildings, etc. are in the way.

Any recommendations or other reading material would be appreciated,
thanks!
