Hi all,

I just purchased a NexLand WavBase wireless router in order to get support
for multiple PPPoE connections. My current Netgear box only supports one,
and I am tired of using a separate Aventail product to get my second
machine talking to the corporate intranet. However, I am getting very
strange behavior with the PPPoE connections. I installed the router and
was able to see all three machines on my home network, all running very
similar W2K installs (they can never be identical, not with Windows). I
set up the router to log into my DSL provider, using the same configuration
info I use in the Netgear box. I use the AT&T Net Client to establish the
PPPoE connection on all three machines. The results are:

Box 1 can communicate over PPPoE, apparently with no problem,
Box 2 appears to login, but never completes the authorization negotiation,
no VPN gets established,
Box 3 appears to login, but goes into a loop while attempting to negotiate
the authorization.

I have tried starting only one of the machines and have found that the
behavior does not change, Boxes 2 and 3 never connect, no matter if they
are the only user of the router.

I am stumped, any ideas?

Regards,

Ken
