Hi folks, I have a few questions to which I cannot find the answer in the 802.11b spec., can anyone help?
[1] If I've an STA performing a passive scan and it can see 2 AP in the ESS (with same SSID) it's looking to join, which STA will it chose to associate with (assuming authentication would be succesful with both)? I'm guessing that it would make its choice on RSSI, but could anyone confirm this to be the case? [2] If it isn't RSSI, what is it? [3] Finally, is the selection mechanism at the discretion on the manufactuer?
