Well, I've been reasonably impressed with your reliability on this list...

In any case, my apologies for putting Jim on the spot based on a 
conversation with two or three of us in the corner of the BAWUG 
meeting.  I was in a hurry to ask about this, and didn't take the
extra 30 seconds to think that it might be poor manners to use his
name rather than just saying "somebody mentioned that..."

Any inaccuracies in the comments (802.11 vs 802.11b) ought to be
ascribed to me rather than to Jim.

Thanks for all of the information!  I'm glad to hear that
in-car 802.11b is practical, even if there are a few limitations
to keep in mind.
