Hello,
I'm going to be investing in my first 802.11b system tomorrow and I'm
wondering, what is the best, most flexible access point for $200 or
less?
Initially, I'm going to be using it with an iBook with an AirPort
card, but my hope is that it would have decent range and support
external - gain antennas (hopefully to be able to provide service to
a cafe around 1000 feet away) and interoperate with others equipment.
I have a Linksys BEFSR41 already, acting as a NAT box, so NAT ability
is not necessary.. (although a built in switch is nice as it would
enable me to ditch some hubs..)
I've been looking at the BEFW11s4.. would that be a good choice? The
price is right as I've been seeing it for $99 with rebate..
I'm a newbie in this area, but I do have some RF background..
Thanks,
Chris
