I built the 8dB 2.4GHz vertical collinear kit from
www.aerialix.com and got a RP-TNC to SMA cable to use it with a
Linksys WAP11.

It turns out that my range problems were due to a crappy 1st
generation WPC11 card and 8dB is incredible overkill for my
house.

I'll give the antenna and cable to anyone willing to pick it up
from Santa Cruz or Scotts Valley.  I prefer to give it to
someone running an open node, but that's not a requirement.

I know the antenna works, but I can't be sure about the gain.  I
was very careful to match Aerialix's 1:1 templates and I had a
well-equipped lab to assemble in (Metcal iron).
