Hi Richy,

As you were looking for 2 mbit originally go for the 11b+ 22mbit, I have
successfully used it at similar and greater distances with 6/6.8 mbit
throughput. Currently the availability and costing is better than the 54mbit
products. +-US$100.00

I am unsure as to the Uk regulations, but foresee no difficulty since you
would need no amplification just some decent directional antennas.

In bridge mode the units become transparent to the network enabling you to
set them on a completely different range. You didn't mention anything about
the resources at the other building. If necessary you can provide a cheap
NAT device.

The bridges I mentioned are based on TI's Packet Binary Convolutional
Coding (PBCC) technology. I have tried these identical models, just
different brands.

I'm sure there is a host of brands available if you can't find these
particular ones.
