Hi: I am new to this forum and want to seek help in setting up a bridge AP to tap into the PAFREE.net which has an OpenAP (http://opensource.instant802.com/home.php) less than a mile away. Do I need another OpenAP AP or can I just use an off shelf stock AP, like linksys or D-link AP ?
What is the talk on downloading D-link firmware to Linksys WAP 11 version 2.6 about ? I also appreciate an pointer to a local cheap source on a high gain (~15dBi) antenna. hyperlinktech.com seems to be a nice place, but far on the east coast.
