Checking into external antennas for some coworkers, I came across
this message on hyperlinktech's site:
Note: These antenna systems are not appropriate for use with the
Linksys BEFW11S4. We no longer support the BEFW11S4 and do not carry
any products to extend its range, nor are we able to offer any
recommendations.

This message wasn't there last time I looked. Anybody know why they
added it? I'm particularly curious if it's a technical problem or
a "political" one -- As an experiement I plugged a 8.5db Maxrad patch
into a BEFW11S4 and it *seems* to work OK. With the recent firmware
you can even turn off the other antenna, so I don't see what the
problem is unless there's some long-term instability or damage that
might occur... Any ideas? If it's just a cover-your-ass message due
to something Linksys did, that's fine, I can feel good about telling
my coworkers to ignore it and order one the fine HLT products.
