The state of Seattle is still part of the United States, so trademark laws 
still apply. You may not even need to have had it registered to assert your 
rights if you can document prior usage. And being the white knights you claim 
you are, you might even be able to get a lawyer to help you pro bono. But you 
might want to back off on the profainity during the initial consultation.

This happened to me once before, a letter from my attorney stopped them dead in 
their tracks even though I hadn't registered it. All I needed was prior proof 
of public use. Still, get it registered and "TM" all your words you want 
protected.
