I've used their bootable CD image to create a three laptop network (2 meshed, one client) and extend an in building network. AODV seems to work at least in a small trial.
The MeshAP hardware is a different story, SFLAN ordered one of their boxes and the fulfillment process was less than fast and easy. The box arrived with the PCI riser unseated and I'm still working on getting it up to speed. If anyone is interested in helping create a set of debian packages to setup AODV and some other packages to allow any machine to participate in a mesh network (instead of CD booted or prebuilt hardware) please contact me off list.
