I have a dedicated card I use when I connect an external antenna. I call it my "stumbling card".
I used clear packing tape to anchor the connector in an immobile state. Then I tapes about 2 inches of the pigtail to the top part of the card.
Presto- no more damaged connectors and I don't worry if I accidentally pull the wire at the wrong angle.

What, if anything, are you guys doing to secure the tiny little
RF connector to Orinoco cards. I'm fond of type N - once
connected, it is highly unlikely to fall off. Of course, N is
too big for a PCMCIA card.

The tiny little push on connectors are easy to use, but it seems
like the connector would fall off rather easily.

Do any of you have clever solutions to this?
