Hi. I was trying to use this granddaddy of free wlans the other day, and had security problems. Is there a website/FAQ? sflan.com is registered to the the good folks of the internet archive (part of alexa, part of amazon). I could browse the web, but was having trouble with some protocols. HTTP (port 80), Secure IMAP (port 993) was working fine, but secure SMTP (starttls/port 25) wasn't working, even though I could manually telnet to the destination on port 25 and ehlo indicated I was talking to the destination server. I guess they have a proxy firewall/server? HTTPS (port 443?) was working sometimes. Secure SMTP over Port 26 didn't work either. I kept getting ICMP destination unreachable packets when I tried. Are they blocking encrypted traffic? I felt like my traffic was being watched...
