DBi does not generically convert to watts. DB defines gain or loss relative to a watt
level. The amount of gain or loss is dependent upon the watt value. Dbi means the gain
is being referenced from an isotropic antenna. DBm on the other hand is an absolute
watt value, it is referenced at 1 watt where 0DBm = 1 mW.
Here is the formula for converting mW to dBm:
dbm = 10log mW
Heres the reverse formula:
mW = log(-1) (dbm/10)
