I am considering the idea of establishing an open electronics lab,
machine shop and workspace for experimenters who don't have the space or
resources to work at home or in a private space. It would be available
for people to join and use in exchange for equipment donations or cash
contributions. It can also rent out space for short term projects.
cellspace.org has a similar place for a group of artists. The space
would be useful for groups such as BAWUG and BARWN to set up servers,
have an area to work and have meetings. It would be set up as a
non-profit organization. The machine shop could have NC machining
equipment as well as hand tools. If anyone is interested, please let me
know.
