Having an issue with a Nortel e-mobility access point
(Symbol 4121/Spectrum24 OEM) that i just picked up, was
hoping that someone could help, or had some ideas....
Nortel no longer sells this AP, as they are developing
their own products in-house (baystack 2200)...so they don't
have the latest/greatest sw available for download....

symbol on the other hand, has some recent sw for the 4121,
as well as the pc card (4121 series)...i was successful in
loading the firmware/radio software for the AP, but not the
htm/webserver sw, or the pc card sw on my laptop. the
driver just won't take for the card, and on the AP, the htm
fails with 'corrupted file'...evidently, symbol puts in
protection for 'hopping' versions of software, but since
the nortel htm file is 'custom', it is a version that
symbol doesn't know about, thus failing everytime!...any
ideas on how to get around this failing upgrade on the AP,
and also the symbol client sw install on my notebook? huge
thanks in advance...

cheers
