Dear Friends, We are engaged in a project that needs to provide internet access in a highway 150 kms with seamless mobility.
However, since the road is a little criss coss, I found from survey (topographical map and personal site visit) that nearabout 15 repeater stations are required that will function both as point-point (through mesh parabolic) and point-multipoint (through sectors). But I am little worried about the performance statistics. The worst case for a user accessing the internet is around 15 hops . I am thinking to provide the backhaul from a node at one end and using outdoor ap's from the same vendor to ensure semaless mobility. What are yours opinion, will it effect the network performance in terms of latency considering the fact that only data needs to be supported. Awaiting for your kind reply... Rituraj
