This probably isn't useful given that this is a list about wi-fi, but I really like the sprint vision pcmcia deal for my laptop. This is exactly the kind of situation it's perfect for. $100 or so a month for all you can eat data service (50kbps? 100kbps?). You can check your email while driving down the road and eating a burger at the same time.
