I have 2 basic questions. Sorry if they are too basic.
I have a 512k cablemodem connection that I used to connect to a Proxim Symphony HRF gateway that did not reach most areas in my house.
Now that I am migrating to 802.11 I have 2 questions:
1) To make sure I can transmit all the bandwidth of my 512k cablemodem to my pc and notebook and pda do I need a 802.11g access point and cards or just 802.11b will do?
2) having answered the above: which brand and model offers me the best performance indoors so I can make sure I get the most in any place in my house? My biggest concern is performance.
I don't care to pay a few bucks to get the best performance but I would not like to spend on unnecessary speed or go into something bigger than I need for my specific needs.
