I spent considerable time searching for a retail shop in the bay area 
which stocks this sort of gear and came up empty handed. I even went 
all the way to Oakland to check out one of the radio shops, and 
discovered that they only deal with UHF and VHF gear for 'real' radio 
applications.

Consider this the negative cache entry for the list, of course you can 
always hack something together from home depot:

I have been inspired to make my own antenna(s) and I can't
think of or find any outlets here in San Francisco to get the
needed parts. Does anyone know of one or more stores where one
could get everything you need?
I do know of places online to get the parts but 1)I prefer retail
and 2)I am hoping to get these parts /today/ if possible.
