Also keep in mind that, just upping the power is not the best thing to do in the design of a system.
You problem may be with inadquate signal level coming from the other end. In that case, a higher gain antenna is what may be needed. With that, your effective power will also increase to the other end. Also, the more the gain with the antenna the less interference you will create for others and your self. The higher the gain, the narrower the beam will be coming from the antenna and less chance you will be picking up stray signals to interfere with you.
