Most major corporations usually hire a consultant to study such 
aspects and not rely on email chat lists for opinions.  Are you
planning some sort of "metro ethernet" using an existing infrastructure
and then supplying "last mile" connectivity by a wireless link?

Posting here will get you alot of free opinions which are worth what
you paid for them (including mine), but very little engineering research 
into network architecture for free.   I charge for that.  Most RF 
engineers do.  After all, we have to pay our cable bills....
