Then carry your "crystal" and avoid urban areas. you are exposed to more radiation from the sun that from cellphones. Own a microwave oven? It turns chicken into plutonium dont ya know?
Sheesh!

I am biased. I am one of "those people" that gets headaches and dizziness from using or being near a cell phone that's in use. I would love to be part of a single, or double blind study to see if the effects are merely psychosomatic, rf in nature, or caused by some other artifact of the cell phone's usage (sound, heat, etc).
I know there are many technical details to the arguments for and against
adverse health effects; like, we are bombarded all the time by naturally
occuring rf and other radiation. But let's remember how we used to use xrays to
see our bones at the shoe store, or to do facial peels; or how we used to apply
radium to watch faces, or use DDT, or a more contemporary problem, MTBE. My
point is that we don't know, and I'm not prepared to do the experiment on my
own head, or lap, as the case may be.
Also, my cursory review of the literature on rf health effects indicates that at best the results are inconclusive.
With that in mind, I am cautious in my adoption of wireless networking; I do use it on occasion. Certainly, if I had children, I would not want them in close proximity to transmitters like those used by cell phones, cell towers, wlan transceivers, etc. The FCC even advises against children using cell phones.
I know cell phones are different from wlan devices, but they are similar. Phones are usually much stronger transmitters; but they do usually function in similar frequency ranges.
My hope is that as the tech gets better the devices will transmit ever less powerful rf and still give us better usability.
If it were my kids in that school .. I'd want a say on whether or not my kids were getting exposed. My 2c. Flame away .. :)
