Well, have I missed something obvious? I don't seem to see a meeting
scheduled for this month, & nothing about one on the mailing list (unless
perhaps my browsers force-reload button ain't working.)

Would someone like to specify a meeting date & loacation for this month?

According to my reading of the events page, the last meeting was June 20,
the 3rd friday in June. Well, it's past the 3rd friday of october. I've
only been to one BAWUG meeting, and I think that was the one. So, I'm
not in a position of official leadership where I would call the meeting.
But, if someone doesn't announce the meeting soon, (or show me that it's
already scheduled, and show me where I missed the announcement) I'm
tempted to apply the Bay Area Debian
http://bad.debian.net/shotgun_rules.txt
and just call a meeting for this friday, 2003-10-24, at maybe the
internet archive, or the McDonalds on about 3rd & Harrison (I don't know
the address & I'm not gonna look it up right now) that had, at one time,
wifi. (Really, much better would be a wifi cafe w/ better grub! -
Someone who knows SF sould be able to suggest one.)

If I had to pick a topic, I'd suggest the world wide debian
videoconference and how to get people connected by wifi laptops for it -
but that's just my bag, man.

So, what's it goonna be, powers-that-be? Who's calling the meeting?
