well most of the computer controlled mounts I work with are equatorial whereas what you're probably looking for is altitude-azimuth mount.
directed perception makes such items for security cameras... this came up on bawug before sometime in 2002 don't know what came of it... http://www.dperception.com/ptu_over.htm http://lists.bawug.org/pipermail/wireless/2002-May/006544.html There are products in the maritime and defense industries that are two axis computer-controlled mounts but most the the items I've seen that fall into that category are mounted on vessels not small automobiles. I would probably exhaust all options involving omni-directional antennas before I headed to far in this direction.
