Subject: Re: [BAWUG] bridging help

Hi Dan,

I have modified the Linksys WRT54G firmware to either act as a client/Ethernet bridge or to use WDS. The client version is on the Sveasoft ftp site at ftp://ftp.sveasoft.com/pub. Look for the Samadhi2 version.

This firmware will also allow you to increase the power from the default of 28 mW up to 84 mW for better range.

I am finishing a version with point-and-click WDS setup via the web interface today dubbed "Satori". It will be out in a couple of days if you prefer WDS to client bridging.

I'm really just looking for a media converter to go from 10bT to Wi-Fi.
Does such a thing exist for less than $100?

How can I get a WRT54G to be a plain old bridge?

Thanks in advance,

Dan
