Hi, I am new to the list, I am hoping you can answer the following question:
According to seattlewireless.net it appears that the Netgear WAG511 might have a RP-MMCX connector on the PCB. Noting that the circuit board pics (via FCC database) for the Netgear WAG 511 and Orinoco 8480-WD look almost identical (Atheros 5212 reference design perhaps? oh, and antennas on the Orinoco look better though), I am wondering if anyone has tried to use the connectors inside and can actually confirm the type. They look like MMCX, but I can tell if they are RP or not, the pictures are just a bit too fuzzy to be a 100% sure. I also see a provision for a second connector on the PCB, anyone go to some place like digikey, get a new MMCX or RP-MMCX PCB connector and run two antennas off of one of these cards? Many thanks for any information you can provide. -Justin -- general wireless list, a bawug thing <http://www.bawug.org/> [un]subscribe: http://lists.bawug.org/mailman/listinfo/wireless
