I've been aware of this driver for a bit now, but only recently
downloaded it and attempted to compile.

http://www.agere.com/support/drivers/wl_lkm_714_release.tar.gz

It's from Sept 2003, it supports Hermes I and Hermes II (802.11g)
chipsets, it contains a software AP mode, and sounds really cool!

Unfortunately I can't get it to compile. I've found posts online that
say people have got it to compile, but I don't understand HOW:

The readme in the file refers to running a ./Configure script.
However, in the tar.gz file, there is no Configure script. You can't
run "make config" or anything similar.

If anyone has managed to get this driver compiled, can you please
contact me with details?

Thanks
Roger Weeks
