Dear BAWUG, i see more people need the information about Linksys WAP11 components by their versions. Please find below the right inside information: WAP11 v2.8 used the RFMD RF3000 BBP(baseband proc.) with RFMD RF compomnent and ADMTek controller . WAP11 v2.6 used the RFMD RF3000 BBP with RFMD RF compomnent and Atmel controller. WAP11 v2.2 used the TI ACX100 BBP with TI RF component and Samsung controller. WAP11 v1.1 used the Intersil PrismII BBP with Intersil RF component and Atmel controller (2MB SRAM ver.) WAP11 v1.0 used the Intersil PrismII BBP with Intersil RF component and Atmel controller (1MB SRAM ver.)
We tested all versions of WAP11, and i can really say that only WAP11 v2.6 is very fine and stable access point. All others, especially WAP11 v2.8 had more problems ---------- Original Message ----------- From: "JRH" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Sam Mailian" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Thu, 27 May 2004 17:18:34 -0700 Subject: Re: [BAWUG] WAP11 hack > I think the WAP11 v2.6 used a TI chipset, the ACX100.
