My guess that a quick upcoming release of Airopeek will know how to
distinguish WPA (and probably EAP and LEAP and other 'proprietary' secure
methods) from WEP. I have confidence in those Wildpackets guys.

At least Airopeek is smart enough to flag WPA as encrypted. (Even if it gets
the type of encryption wrong.) I'd either call this an elegant
implementation of WPA, or great foresight on the part of Wildpackets. I'm
always happy to plug Wildpackets; they are definitely the Apple to Network
Associates' Microsoft/IBM.

I'll read their press and get back to the mailing list if I can get official
facts or promises. Anyone here have an in at Wildpackets, who might want to
clarify instead of speculate? I'm lucky enough to live in the valley;
Wildpackets is in the East Bay (the Far East). But I'd drive to Walnut Creek
in a second.

Has Wildpackets ever had a presence at any techie seminar that anyone knows
about? I would always be happy to liasion with them.
