John S,
I think the program was hosted by Stone Phyillips on ABC around 8:00. Not
sure exactly.
Like George said, it wasn't the first time I saw the footage, just the first
time I caught the comment about the FEMA antenna.
The coverage was about complaining what a horrible job FEMA was doing from a
slow response perspective.
Note: To make sure my last EMail was clear... What was reported was... The
Parish's communications went down, then Parish head learned it was because
FEMA disconnected the Parish's antenna without telling them, so FEMA could
install their own new antenna for their own purposes, which was indicated by
the big FEMA sticker on the antenna. WISPA's efforts have been to install
communications for the Parish's use. My couriosity was wether this project
was one WISPA or MAC was involved with. Meaning the one that got
disconnected or installed. I was changing a diaper at the time, and missed
the details of what the original antenna was and who installed by, if it was
disclosed. WISPs were not mentioned anywhere in the news report, from what
I heard.

Tom,
Can you get me any details about what station carried this report, what
shelter was affected, etc.? Anything to pinpoint which entities were
parties involved would be helpful. I want to learn exactly what is going
on here.
Thanks,
Scriv

It would be interesting to know which companies received these contracts,
and what enabled them to.
And why they were able to when groups like Mac's had not gotten funding.
Did they have pre-existing GSA contracts, making it easier for them?
Just to learn how it gets done for the future.
I also watched some coverage last night on TV, where a Parish complainded
because they lost their Internet connectivity, and then found FEMA
installed an antenna, and disconnected theirs. Are these contracts for
FEMA to have their own communications or FEMA restoring service for local
residents.

There are many paid contracts in your area funded already by FEMA have
you
tried to get your name on the list. I know several companies that are
already ordering from us for these processes. Net 30 is perfect for
them.

Hello list,
I am again in the position to ask direction for acquiring more gear
to be installed in the Gulf towns on the Mississippi coast. I need Aps,
CPE, Jumpers, enclosures, mounts, tape, mastic, tripods for
roofs.....etc. Do any of you know of a manufacturer that is willing to
donate these goods? If you have a supplier hit them up and give me their
name..etc
It seems like I would have some funding by now, but I guess its the
waiting game thing going on. Sooner or later FEMA is going to have to
come across with the doe!
Thanks
