Yeah, we do the same, remove the internal batt and replace with 2 AGM 100 am batts. We bought a bunch of the DC block connectors that match the internal apc batt connector

The only batteries connected are the large AGM type. We purchased 20 of them off ebay about 2 years ago. The batteries were $50 each, and shipping was $50 each.
