Mark Nash from UnwiredOnline.Net has been part of this WISPA list for a while and now he has made his connection to WISPA official by becoming a Principal WISPA Member. We thank you, Mark, for formalizing your relationship with WISPA and for making your contribution to the efforts which will grow our industry. Here is more about Mark and UnwiredOnline. Net:

Unwired started in April of 2001 with 4 partners (now only one owner) as the
first broadband Internet provider in Junction City, OR. Since that time,
cable and phone companies have deployed their services, but since the
company has focused on rural subscribers it has seen little churn due to
competition. Initially, Unwired deployed a BreezeCom BreezeAccess system
with Trango backhauls, but sought to lower its CPE cost and moved away to
YDI/Karlnet/Terabeam/Proxim turbocell-based PoE gear. They are currently
deploying Mikrotik APs and Tranzeo CPEs due to the cost and ease of
installation for lower-labor-cost techs. With 250 users spread across 7 AP
sites around the Southern Willamette Valley in Oregon, up and coming
challenges will be getting more users per sector, upgrading backhauls to
support traffic, and expanding the wireless network footprint or
establishing new POPs altogether.

Mark Nash owns Unwired, and has 20 years experience in PC networking. Prior
to getting into the wireless world in 2001, he worked at Oregon State
University as a consultant to those departments and colleges who ran their
own Novell servers, a system with 350+ servers. He developed a specialty in
enterprise administration of large NDS systems. Mark has personally
installed all wireless customers up to January 2007.
