I don't know what he means, for sure by "bad".
I guess as far as physical strength goes, it depends on the railing.
As far as signal pattern goes, if he means an omni, then that isn't a really
great use of your RF.
And if he means having a sector on the railing is somehow bad- I don't know.

My proposal is a sector on the front face of the railing, basically hanging
down.

And that's what I'd really like a pic of, although I appreciate the two
folks who sent me pics of sectors mounted up above the railings on masts!
