Nominations Nominees must be a representative of a WISPA principal, vendor or associate member in good standing prior to the deadline for nominations. Nominations may come from the membership at large or from the Board of Directors. Nominations coming from the standing Board of Directors should include a letter of recommendation from the Director submitting the nomination. Nominations coming from a WISPA member should include a letter of recommendation from the member. Both the member submitting the nomination and the nominee must be members in good standing at the time the nomination is submitted. Board members completing their first term and wishing to serve a second 1-year term are required to submit their candidacy for re-election. Attendance records for all board meetings for the current term should be supplied along with the statement of intent to run. Credentials of prospective nominees will be reviewed and evaluated by the Nominating Committee, which is responsible for ensuring that a sufficient number of qualified candidates are available to stand for election. It shall be the sole responsibility of the Nominating Committee to recommend a proposed list of nominees to the Board of Directors for its approval. Following approval of the nominees by the Board of Directors, nominee's applications will be posted on the http://www.wispa.org website for review of the membership, as well as voting instructions and a ballot. Voting will be conducted an online ballot, and ballots will be tabulated by an objective third party, outside of the WISPA Secretariat.
