It's probably tagged as to who the owner is.
But it's not like it is a direct run from A to B. There are switches,
muxes, repeaters, routers, etc. in-between.
And if Bell Atlantic owns it, you either have to buy the service (DS3 or
higher) from VZB or a CLEC would have to lease the fiber from VZ - which
they do not have to do under current FCC regs.

his connectivity options.
When we looked, we saw fiber in the building, and
the rumor was that whoever had installed it first
had it running to New York City....
