I have used the Yard Signs back in our dial-up days and they always worked well for us too. I just needed to reword it to stop some of the misconceptions. The worse is the think it is like cell service that their laptop will hook too and they can use it anywhere in the US! I would like to use DSL in someway because most of the people relate to that in our area (our only competition is DSL) with it to not be too misleading. Thanks for the input so far guys. On another note, I am considering having some door hangers made up for the same purpose, and/or some postcards. Have any of you tried this before? If so, how well did it work? I would assume the postcards would need to be REAL catchy to get their attention before they hit file 13. I know they would be less expensive than the door hangers on delivery. The door hangers will give a chance to talk to the person face to face though, which has to be better than just a piece of paper.

Hello list, I am having some 18"x24" yard signs made to advertise our WISP. What is the concensus on saying what your service is. I could say "Wireless Internet Service" but I get so many calls with from people with the misconception that their laptop will automatically hook to it or it is a cell type service. I have thought about just saying "Highspeed DSL" or something to that nature.
