I'm not really sure of the throughput. I do know that the router OS is
quite functional but have only used the routerboard 532As. They get about
20mb each way in what I have seen.

Subject: [WISPA] StarOS/Mikrotik Router
I'm looking for a box that would serve as a router for my main Internet
feed.
I'm wanting it to run StarOS (preferrably) or Mikrotik RouterOS. I've got
limited space on the plywood wall, so small form factor is a must.
Here's what I'm looking for:
- Small form factor, wall-mountable (I can get creative here)
- StarOS or RouterOS
- 5-8 ethernet ports
- Internet feed will be up to 100mbps, 20mbps to start
As an example, I was looking at the RouterBoard 230
(http://www.routerboard.com/rb200.html) with a PCI riser (RouterBoard 71)
and RB44 (4-port ethernet PCI card). Put this in the large indoor case
and we've got our ports & routing/bridging.
However, I'm concerned about the throughput of these. Does anyone know
what they're capable of?
Also, has anyone tried StarOS on a RouterBoard? Yes, No?
Thanks...
Mark Nash
