Even at 100watts - you are seriously under-powered. Figure up how much power you need... and multiply that by a factor of 3.5 and you'll be safe and it'll be enjoyable to have a site off-grid...... Do it like you're planning and it's going to become a nitemare and the fuel you burn will have paid for the extra gear :)
