You may want to hire a consultant to help you get started. I think that the choice of a consultant or not is an ecconomic one. I told my customers that the average consultant is going to cost roughly $3000 to $4000 by the time you fly one out and put him up etc. A good consultant will have you 3 to 4 months of startup time. So calculating the likely value of a consultant you should take your realistic customer income 12 months from your startup date. Multiply that by 2 (you'll still have 1 to 2 months of startup time with a consultant) and you'll see the savings a good consultant should bring you. If it'll cost more for the consultant than you'll make I think you should learn by doing instead of hiring help.
