I'm curious if anyone else here uses CA Cert (www.cacert.org)

Several of us in the wireless space started using it for strong
encryption for the following reasons:

--it's free
--it's easy (just import the private cert in your web browser, client
(Thunderbird, Outlook, etc), ftp client, etc.
--it's an easy way to send each other passwords (given the fact that we
can sign and encrypt email)
--it's extremely secure (or, at least, more secure in some ways than the
public systems, particularly considering all you gotta do for some
companies is just fax them. For CA cert, multiple people tend to
actually see your ID)
--it's manageable by us, the select few who need it
--it's like PGP + a notary system (for better or worse). We also like
the idea of being able to tie your PGP keys to a real CA Cert profile.

(I'm an assurer, and I live in Southern CA, in case someone else wants
to be assured)
