I think you missed my question. I mean if one was to put a snug wire tie around the cable a few inches back from the connector on the lower end of the cable would it prevent the goo from running out on vertical runs of gel filled cat5/cat6? Since the stuff is not under a lot of pressure it might be possible to hold it back.
